Here is our Newsletter / Updates from April - May, 2007 and our Summer Mission 2007 Trip to Nigeria and Sierra Leone

2007 Summer Mission Trip to Nigeria & Sierra Leone

Will you be a part of these Events?

First - Some Introspections: Esther 4:13-16
13 And Mordecai told them to answer Esther: “Do not think in your heart that you will escape in the king’s palace any more than all the other Jews. 14 For if you remain completely silent at this time, relief and deliverance will arise for the Jews from another place, but you and your father’s house will perish. Yet who knows whether you have come to the kingdom for such a time as this?”
... And so I will go to the king, which is against the law; and if I perish, I perish!”
Mordecai challenged Esther to action when faced with a hard situation. She rose to the occassion with bold conviction that God has called her to help bring relief and deliverance for her people.

Are you ready to play your own part in Mission 2007, or are you still debating the will of God to give a helping hand?
Can you be the next "Esther" who knows how to fast and pray and to follow it up with risky action?

The interesting thing I have learnt is that if we refuse the opportunity to be a channel of blessing to others, God will by-pass us and use another person. Also, it is nothing for God to work by many or by few. Often though He chooses a few, just to show us His ways are much higher than ours!
Isn’t God great?

Help save thousands of women and children in Africa by providing a cup of water in Jesus's Name! Help provide medical aid through our outpatient clinical outreaches... help bring some job skills to empower the needy & disadvantaged young people in Africa... help us break the cycle of poverty, disease, and violence.

We leave for Africa Thursday May 24th and will be reaching out to many communities in Nigeria and Sierra Leone for 3 weeks. This year alone, we have drilled 10 water wells, with many committments and rededications to Christ. In Sierra Leone, we plan to setup a new drill team with a shallow well rig, and complete at least 2 new well projects.
Our medical team is already off to action in Nigeria and will be conducting 2 major rural outreaches, and performing nearly 50 scheduled surgeries.

Here's a few prayer points to help us with.
1. Pray for a successful 1st 2007 Mission trip
2. Pray for safety and travelling mercies
3. Pray for a rig Operator for our big Schramm T-64 Rig who will also have a heart for the ministry, and a sense of committment to the Lord by seeing the job as a ministry & calling
4. We need a crew truck for the big rig team. If you have one to donate or can help us get one, please share thoughts with me
5. We need additional drill rods - 4.5" OD with API at 20 FT lengths. If you can help us get some (up to 400 Ft) in Nigeria  or USA, please help.
6. Childhelp.org based in Sierra Leone needs help to defray their 1 year lease for the Orphanage building and compund they use for about 30 children. They are believing God for $5000. Thank God for pushing forward their eviction date, allowing a little more time to meet the need.
7. David L. Bernhard: Late husband of our Board Member, Meriel "Ije" Bernhard went home to be with the Lord, May 5, 2007 following nearly a 3-year battle with cancer of the lungs and spinal cord. Pray for the Bernhards family for strength and courage to bear his departure.

Deep Wells in Progress:
Umuchoke Amaigbo well is still pending completion. The rig operator is yet to return from a holiday with his family during the Nigerian Elections. Pray for him and his family and for our needs to be met with a dependable Operator.
We still have about 300 feet of drill rods stuck in hole due to inappropriate operation / poor mud circulation. Continue to pray along with us about this problem which must be resolved quickly here.

Skills Training / Sanitation & Hygiene:
As always, appropriate technology transfer will continue to go on in the symbiotic relationships we develop with folks that co labor with us in Africa and around the USA.
Every school or community that gets water well also gets sanitation & hygiene training on best uses of water resources along with the opportunity to see the love of Christ in action.

Part of our driving vision for 2007 is that as we reach out to more souls in all we do, God will see to it that we are abundantly blessed and prospered (Acts 4:33).

Our 2006 Annual Report and the IRS Form 990 Financials is now ready for public viewing and will be posted Online at our website within a week, and at Guidestar.org as those of the previous years.

Thank you for being a loyal partner, friend or Ambassador of RNM.
We will continue to keep you updated as things unfold in our work together to minister the love of Christ to the poor and needy.
(Psalm 9:18).

Finally, additional information about our programs and events are available online, anytime and anywhere at the RNM Website below.

Blessings to you.
